Final 3 outcomes

For the 1st outcome, journalling items such as clips, pegs, pen, pencil, rubber, scissors and a journal were wrapped in my pattern. Having the pattern wrap these objects showcases the pay off well, as these items could become everyday essentials in someone’s life. whilst also catering products to a current popular market, which is journaling, displaying the practicality of the product.

The 2nd outcome is a cover for the business card. With the broader idea of wanting my patterns to be covering everything, the idea of the business card developed, with having my pattern wrapping the card, creating a cover. This would make a mini portfolio of the patterns created, showing the diverse range of patterns created. This outcome would show the branding core value of having pattern everywhere, hoping to become the best at pattern.

The third outcome is wrapping paper, with the idea coming from wanting to be involved in people's lives. With surface pattern design, a popular product and effective way of showcasing the pattern is wrapping paper as all wrapping paper is a continuous design throughout the roll, and with this idea it would incorporate the payoff of the branding in an effective way. With the pattern created, a little present was wrapped up, with creating a matching tag, to show how the branding would work in the market.

For developing the idea of wrapping things in my pattern, being everywhere, the bigger idea of surrounding the things around me in pattern was thought of. To show how pattern is an important aspect of myself and surrounds myself, the pattern made wrapped my desk space showing how pattern is a main focal point to my work and how the branding is focused on it. The image is a more playful way to demonstrate how my pattern can take over the home.

The logo of which was created for the branding is a simplistic handwritten style, to adhere to the principles of having a personal touch in people's lives. The logo is designed to be made into a stamp as stamps create a more personal touch to the brand. As the patterns I create are quite playful and mostly use a bright colour palette, the Stamps would have a range of different colours to cater to this and to not detract from the patterns.
